HUGE UPDATE 11.30.24

I’ve been MIA the last couple weeks, and I can’t wait to spill the beans!

First, thank you so much for being here. Your support means the world to me.

Now, let’s get to the juicy part! I’ve been working relentlessly the past two months on developmental and line edits for my novel Unchanged. I finally submitted to Enchanted Edits by Kaleigh for editing. Can’t wait to hear her feedback!

This is big because it’s taken me 3ish years to write this book + many many years of having it in my head. I finished the first round of edits Spring 2024 and submitted the manuscript to a few Bindery tastemakers. It was rejected by all of them. I have a vision for this world and I’m taking the self-publishing route in stride. I may consider traditional publishing, but right now I’m strongly leaning towards publishing it myself.

This leads me into my second update. I’m seriously considering a strategy for publishing Of Becoming, a cozy fantasy short story collection. This is set in the same world as Unchanged, but is cozy fantasy instead of dark fantasy. Something my beta reader said really stuck with me. She said, “They’re a slice of life.” I think that encapsulates the stories really well.

2024 was a year of writing. 2025 is going to be a year of building and learning.
