Hello friends,
So, I have a lot of ideas. Characters and worlds are all jumbled together that might be confusing all at once. WIP (Work in Progress) Wednesdays are going to be micro updates. Stories I’m actively working on, concept ideas, and anything else interesting I find along the way.
This is for you.
I’ve found that the creators I’m most invested into are transparent about their schedules and content. This is a guide for you. Plus, I want to take you all along for the ride.
Without further ado, here goes!
This week I’m working on several different projects. The main ones are getting this website up, finishing UNFATED, and coming up with a plan.

Website
I’ve started a blog! So exciting! I’m building out this website to post short stories and other delightful fantasy things. For full transparency, I do have an email list as I’m hoping to gain a following where I can share my love for writing. Currently, I’ve set it up so new stories are sent out to my email list first. I’m hoping in the future I can also add an exclusive short story or something of the sort.

UNFATED
In fifth grade, a girl showed me a funny video of a honey badger at recess. It’s a core memory of mine and may have started my descent into nature documentary rabbit holes.
Recently, I’ve had some trouble getting through fated mates books. It’s just not a trope for me. Where’s the choice? Do they not have raging doubt for more than two seconds? Are any of them able to think with their head? *sigh*
Anyways, I wanted to write a story about a woman who had the weight of the kingdom on her shoulders. Who everyone depended on. Cue a hot steamy man that turns out to be her fated mate.
And I wanted her to choose herself.
Now, you may be thinking what do honey badgers and fated mates have in common? I won’t spoil it, but of course I wanted to plop that right into a mini fantasy world with a badass FMC.
I’ve currently written around 2,500 words and I’m about halfway done with the draft. I think I can keep it around 5-7,500 words, which would take an average of 20-30 minutes to read.

If I finish and get it posted, I’ll link it for you!

A PLAN
I want to be very mindful about how I approach my community now and always. What do I respect in other creators? What makes me immediately scroll? Who do I want to be and how do I get there?
I’d love to write full time. It’d be a dream. But… I personally struggle with some of the current methods creators use to support themselves. I also want everyone to have access to my stories. It’s a hard balance and one that I’m still thinking about.
In the meantime, I first need to nail down consistency. I definitely want to post WIP Wednesdays every week. Ideally, as I get that under my belt, I’d like to start posting stories every Thursday. My thought is that if I post them on Thursdays, it’s something you can look forward to reading over the weekend.
As this grows, I’d like to add on a few more posts. Please remember this is tentative, haha. I’d like to do a Media Monday where I share either a book, movie, or some sort of media that’s inspired me. Maybe I’ll add in my own personal experiences or adventures as well.
Another big part of what I’d love to do is cultivate a community of indie authors, creators, and small business owners. I’m working on building out a community page that I think would be great to showcase their work. Maybe I could do a Featured Friday or a Friday Friends where I talk about one of them. And since it’s fantasy, it might be a great resource to add in small businesses that make great cosplay or ren faire pieces.
I’m getting pumped just thinking about it! Thanks for reading and stay tuned for more!
